When you are choosing to ship items, it’s important to determine the volume of the cargo before paying for the shipping. In international freights, there are two ways to ship your cargo: FCL or LCL.
FCL shipping is when consignors reserve an entire container for shipment of their own goods exclusively. They may choose to use the full space of the container or not.
FCL is a more cost-effective option for consignors planning to ship more than 15 cubic metres (CBM) of cargo from Australia to Singapore. Compared to LCL shipments, goods transported via FCL typically reach their final destination faster, and with lower risk of damage due to less handling.
LCL shipping is ideal for those who want to ship cargo that may not be able to fill a typical shipping container. Instead, goods are consolidated with other shipments going along the same route.
LCL can offer plenty of benefits to shippers, such as:

If your goods are shipped via sea freight, the goods will take a longer time to arrive as customs checks are mandatory for all cargo arriving at the port. The custom checks will require a few days before the goods are cleared for shipment.

As compared to sea freight, air freight is a quicker way to ship your goods if you need them urgently. It is a great option for transporting goods that are small and lightweight.
Shipping via sea freight is typically more cost-saving than air freight for bulky items or large volumes of cargo. It can be 5 to 6 times cheaper than the latter.
However, if you are shipping small items, air freight may be more affordable.
Export duties are imposed on some raw materials and semi-manufactured items shipped from China.
Temporary duty rates may also apply to exports at certain periods of time.
Goods and Service Tax (GST) are imposed on all items imported into Singapore. Dutiable goods will incur duties on top of GST payments.
